The Three Techniques

What's the difference?

Specialty

Swedish Massage

Lighter, flowing strokes for circulation and full-body relaxation. A gentler entry point if you're newer to bodywork or want to unwind and destress.

Specialty

Deep Tissue Massage

Slower, deliberate work through the deeper muscle layers. A good fit if you have dense muscle tissue and need real pressure.

Specialty

Trigger Point Therapy

Targeted, sustained pressure on specific knots causing referred pain, stiffness, or restricted movement. Best for chronic tension and injuries with clear trouble spots.

The biggest lesson I've learned from being a massage therapist is that the mind-body connection is a relationship—one that requires patience, love, understanding, and balance.

"The body is not the obstacle — It is the way."

In my twenties, I started developing low back pain and found myself getting injured more easily. I knew I had to do something about it. That's when I turned to massage therapy—not only seeking treatment, but training as a therapist to better understand my own body.

Over the last four years, that decision has transformed my relationship with my body. Through studying anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, and orthopedic methods, I've learned how to respond to injuries, aches, and tension with greater understanding.

Now, as a licensed massage therapist with over two thousand hands-on hours, I feel fulfilled helping others experience that same connection—to find healing and, in the process, become closer to themselves.

Good to Know

Frequently asked questions.

Your Session
What should I expect during my first session?

We'll start with a short conversation about your health history, where you're holding tension, and what you're hoping to get out of the session. You'll be fully draped throughout, and I'll check in on pressure as we go.

What should I wear?

Undress to whatever level you're comfortable with. You'll be draped at all times except the area actively being worked on — and if you'd rather keep some clothing on, just let me know and I'll adjust the session around that.

Can I ask you to focus on specific areas?

Yes — back, shoulders, legs, wherever's bothering you, or a full-body session if you'd rather. We'll talk through it before we start.

What's the difference between your three specialties?

Swedish is lighter, flowing work aimed at relaxation and circulation. Deep tissue works through the deeper muscle layers for chronic tension or muscle pain. Trigger point therapy targets specific knots directly. Most sessions end up blending whichever combination fits what you actually need that day.

How should I prepare?

Come hydrated, wear something comfortable, and if you've just worked out or are sweaty, a quick shower beforehand helps.

What if the pressure feels like too much — or not enough?

Say something in the moment. Adjusting pressure or technique mid-session is completely normal and expected, not an interruption.

Do I need to stay quiet, or can I talk?

Whatever helps you relax. Some clients like to talk through what they're feeling; others prefer silence. It's your hour.

I have a medical condition or recent injury — does that matter?

Yes, please tell me beforehand. Most conditions just mean I'll adjust technique or pressure, but in some cases it affects whether a session is appropriate at all — better to know in advance.

Booking & Policies
What's your cancellation policy?

Cancellations made at least 24 hours before the appointment are not charged. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice, as well as missed appointments, are charged 50% of the scheduled session price.

What if I need to reschedule?

Rescheduling is free when requested at least 24 hours before the appointment. Requests made with less than 24 hours' notice may be subject to a fee of 25% of the scheduled session price, depending on the circumstances.

What happens if I'm running late?

There is no additional late-arrival fee. However, the session may need to be shortened so that it still ends at the originally scheduled time.

How do I pay?

A payment card must be kept on file when you book. Payment is due after the appointment has been completed.

Can I book a same-day appointment?

Sometimes, depending on availability — but booking a few days ahead is the more reliable way to get the time slot you want.

Do you offer gift certificates?

Yes. Gift certificates are nonrefundable, but they may be transferred to another person before they are redeemed.
